Information on genetic divergence is derived from data on 9 metric traits in 20 E. coracana varieties grown under rainfed and irrigated conditions. Genetic clusters were identified on the basis of D² analysis: 4 under rainfed and 11 under irrigated conditions. The same 6 traits contributed most to genetic diversity under both environments. Varieties Indaf-3, Indaf-8, Indaf-9, ROH2 and HR7302 were markedly diverse under irrigated conditions and are suggested for use in breeding programmes
