Abstract

DNA transfer of a chimaeric gene encoding neomycin phosphotransferase by means of electroporation (a technique which uses electrical pulses of high field strength to permeabilize cell membranes) is reported. Stably transformed cells resulted that were resistant to kanamycin (conferred by the nptII coding region)
